Directions to Sunrise Landing (part of Wild River State Park) from Lindstrom, MN:
On Hwy. 8, travel East towards Center City. Turn left onto Co. Rd. 9 and follow Co. Rd. 9 for about a mile (be sure you watch the road signs as Co. Rd. 9 takes another left turn at about 1 mile). Continue on Co. Rd. 9 for approximately 11 miles (you will cross over Hwy. 95) to the town of Sunrise. There will be a bar on the left and then you will cross over a bridge. After you cross the bridge, look for Ferry Road, a dirt road that will be on your right. (There is usually a small sign there that says boat landing or Wild River State Park.) Turn right onto Ferry Road – and follow the road to the end. You will see the parking lot on the left. (Drive slow as this road is dirt and usually quite bumpy.) REMINDER -- Horse trail passes are required in Minnesota and Wisconsin Trail passes can be purchased where DNR licenses are sold Horse Trail Passes may be required:
